More show photos!!

I hope you've enjoyed the show!! It's even better in person, so plan to attend next year. You can get information at www.TBAI.org. I believe the theme for next year's gallery is something like: On the Road Again - where will my bears go?? Fun!!!

This one's mine!!

That's all folks! I think there's one of each gallery piece. If I've missed one, I apologize! It's such an exciting place during the viewing, it's hard to get up close sometime.
Hope you enjoyed the show!!
And finally!!!! This one photo of Katherine Hallam and her remarkable piece of Alice falling down the rabbit hole!! I realized that I did not have one of her piece because it was so amazing and there were so many folks looking at it that I couldn't get close!!! I borrowed this photo from Facebook - hope whoever took it doesn't mind!!

Kumihimo and more show!

Actually the Kumihimo (ancient Japanese braiding) is show related! I made this necklace to wear at the show's festive events on Thursday and Friday nights. There are 8 strands of beads which are woven together and I made the lion from polymer clay - notice the neat dreadlocks - some also beaded! Look for a closeup of this handsome guy at the end.

Now back to the show gallery:

And there's still more!!!
We'll have to have another posting dedicated to this wonderful gallery! Check back tomorrow!!
Finally, a close-up of my swell lion on my kumihimo beaded necklace.
I had the great honor of attending a class given by polymer artist Christi Friesen. This lion is based on one of her pendants in her book "Cats." I've begun adding lions to my friends this year in brown and a solid white for this show. I have plans for gray and other colors as well.
See any resemblance??

All Gone!!

My little bears, bunnies, and lion all found homes quickly on Friday night at TBAI. I thank the wonderful collectors so very much! A big thanks again to Jessie for creating my lovely tree settings which left a lovely view along with my pretty fern plants after the bears had been adopted!

I'm happy to show you many of the gallery pieces from the show! I'll do this in a couple of postings. If you have any questions about who made the pieces, just email me and I can probably figure it out. I tried to take the tag with the piece, but the writing might just be too small.

I'll show more in the next post! Thanks to Cindy Malcoff and all her helpers for making a wonderful experience for us all! TBAI is such fun! If you've never been, plan on attending next year!

Picnic Peak

Just a quick peak at my gallery piece - Teddy Bears' Picnic - seen here on my dinning room table. I'll try to take a good one outdoors this week before the show - weather permitting. Here's some stuff you may not be able to see in this one: A turtle carrying a watermelon in a basket on his back. One of the bears brought his friend the rabbit to join in the fun! I made the turtle and rabbit out of polymer clay as I did the tree! I had some wonderful shots of the tree as I made it, but somehow erased them before they were downloaded. That was great fun! (making the tree - not erasing the photos). The picnic food included veggies, watermelon, bananas and Donuts!!! There's a tree stump with a porcelain tea pot which all teddy bears would of course bring to the picnic!
Hope to see lots of folks at TBAI at the end of the week! I'll try to get back with more photos of the bears, bunnies, and white lion that I'm taking along!

Here Comes Arthur!!

No, Rocky and Cheeto aren't looking for hurricane Arthur, here - just a bug has their attention. But - once again we must batten down our hatches and some weather is headed our way! Living so close to the ocean, we are used to it by now.

Rocky is sure he can reach that bug and is hoping we won't lose power as it will be pretty warm with all that fur if the air conditioner isn't working!!
Stay safe everyone in Arthur's path. Let's hope his visit won't last too long!!

Happy to report that Arthur passed us by leaving only a bit of rain and some windy gusts.
All's well here on Regatta Lane!
Happy Day!
Peace to all!
