New Baby Bunny!

How 'bout this?? Here's the prototype for my smallest new baby bunny - named Baby Bunny so far. He's about 2 3/4 inches tall. I think there are a couple of things I'll change, but I just love him. I wasn't sure of the ears until it was time to sew them on - then I realized he would be a lop. You can't see in these photos, but he has a fluffy white tail.

and here he is on my deck railing - waiting for the leave to pop open on the tree limbs behind him. I think I'll try a wee Panda Baby Bunny next.

The Teddies Worldwide Show Has Begun!

Jarome the wee Garden Gnome will be there to greet you as you visit this "all bear" show! Just click here: www.teddiesworldwide.com to see all the wonderful bears! This is truly an international show and you'll be able to see bears created all over the world.
Wee Jarome shown above sits atop a felt mushroom which I made from a pattern I found on Etsy from a shop called Craft Pixie! I did a few things differently to assure Jarome would have a steady seat. The pattern developer suggested filling the stem with rice. I added steel pellets on the bottom to make sure that little fungus sat still! I used rice toward the top of the stem. The slice of wood, the mushroom and Jarome are all separate and can be moved around for display. If you'd like to purchase the pattern, just email me and I'll give you the link to the Etsy shop.
Enjoy the show!! Buy Bears!!!

Wow! My bears were all adopted by 4:20!!! Thanks to everyone!!!

Spring Has Sprung!

Wishful thinking? Well, maybe a Big wish for that season of warming lengthening days was the inspiration for my preview piece for the upcoming Teddies Worldwide online show. Wee tiny "Spring" stands atop a lovely purple crocheted flower which you might remember from an earlier post and that's on top of an old rusty bed spring! As soon as I can, I shall add to this post directions for just how I did this. It was rather windy the day Spring and I went outdoors for her photo shoot. I had to wait for the gusts to subside to balance her just so!  I've crocheted a dress and matching hat just for her out of a beautiful Lizbeth thread in a shade called Vineyard Harvest. I hope you can see all the colors! I'll post an unclose of her soon.  For now, the preview for the show has begun! Hop on over to www.teddiesworldwide.com and see the wonderful preview photos for this all bear show. You can vote for your favorites!

Here's a closer look! I just realized I have the photos of making the "pin cushion" she's sitting on still on my phone so I'll have to transfer them over - then will post a "how to."  Almost show time!!
Use the link above to see the show at 4 p.m. EST!!
