Whirlwind weekend!

I was so thrilled with my table for the show in Philadelphia this past weekend! I hope you are able to get an idea of how my little woodland scene looked! Some of the bears were danding around a Maypole and others were playing in the gardens of the "tree houses."
The show itself only lasted four hours - from 10-2 - and there were many collectors to visit with. I saw some folks that I haven't seen in years - both artists and collectors.
I hardly left the table because I didn't want to miss seeing anyone! Right at the last, though, I did remember to get some photos of those near - and dear - to me.

And I did get a few shots of some really grand bears!

I wish you all could have been there! It was truly a magnificent weekend and Susan and Terry Quinlan are to be commended for having planned and executed one of the great moments in time for the bear and doll world. Their work through their museum in Santa Barbara adds so much to all who love bears and dolls.  Please do visit the Susan Quinlan Doll and Teddy Bear Museum and Library if you are in or close to Santa Barbara!

Oh, it looks like it was such fun! Beautiful bears galore! I love your table display. You have made it into an experience instead of just a table. Hope many of your sweet little bears and friends found new homes. Two of mine did--I'm over the moon!

Hi Elanor!! Glad you could get a little idea of how it looked! I could never have done such a display if I had had to fly. I had two boxes of ferns that I brought from Virginia.
If they have this show again, you must come!!!!!!
Big hug!
Hi to Lex!!

Hi Deborah!
Grand! We were so busy, I didn't make it to Felicia's table during the show - so many folks to talk with! I did speak with her during the weekend and told her you and I had spoken about your bears being in her charge!
Yes! I only brought two little bears home. What a show!!!
You come next time!!! OK???
Mini hugs,
Donna

Thank you so much for posting your pictures Donna. It makes me even more sad that I missed such a wonderful event, but I'm happy to see it all through your eyes. Your table was beautiful! I'm surprised you had any bears left to take home. They were all so wonderful. That just means the right "Mom or Dad" just hasn't found them yet. :o)

My fingers are crossed that next year you and I will make it to the same event!!

Love,
Carolyn

Thank you Carolyn! The odds are with us! Let's hope we will meet one of these places!
Glad you liked the photos! I wish I'd had time for more! I was too busy talking I guess!
Big hug,

Hi Sue!
You know I enjoyed the doll presentations as well and I'm not a doll collector! One gentleman, Floyd Bell, is a carver of wooden dolls. I went to a presentation and demonstration he gave and I would love to try carving! Not enough hours in the day. If the Quinlans do this again, maybe you can come on over!
Hugs,
Donna

Hi Sis, I loved your table, especially the may pole. It looked like a miniature wonderland. When is next year's event? Maybe I can come and visit you there and see your lovely woodland creatures. Love, Lauralee

Hi Helen! Thanks so much! There was so much I didn't have a chance to photograph and one was the book signings - I'm sure you would be a welcome addition with that new book of yours I saw mentioned on your Blog! I haven't heard if there will be another of these shows, but if so, plan to come!! I think you will have tons of fun!!
Thanks for writing!
