Here's Molly and her special friend! Molly is about 3 7/8 inches tall. Her fur is a delicate mauve color and is viscose I ordered from Italy.  I hope you'll visit the preview to see all the wonderful bears (this is a "bears only" show - though they can have friends!) on the preview page!

The Big Quilt Show is in Town!

Once a year, those interested in the needle arts have a wonderful show to look forward to here in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia. It lasts for 4 days and I have been know to go each of the four days in years past. Yesterday was the first of the four days this year, and I made a quick run through checking out the hundreds of vendors - and stopping at my favorite. Each year I buy threads, beads, tiny buttons and trims from this shop:

First Daffodil

Spotted this tiny bloom yesterday! I think this is one of the earliest sightings of the first daffodil of the year. This is a miniature variety and always bring joy!

Yankee Doodle

I recently finished and shipped a special order for a red, white, and blue bear.

This is Yankee Doodle!!

He's such a cutie up close, I think!

It was pretty col while I was making him, so I thought he 

needed a mohair scarf.

He also traveled with a white hat as well as a red one. A guy needs

a change of wardrobe, don't you think??

So glad his new Mom - Margaret - was pleased. She

only had to wait a little over a year!! Do you remember

a red, white, and blue bunny I posted - well this

is his cousin. What a pair, eh??

TOBY's for Billy and Lilly!

What a wonderful surprise to learn of two TOBY awards this year for my panda Billy and my bunny Lilly! Each of these are about 4 inches tall. Billy lives with Pat and Lilly lives with another Donna. Can't wait to tell them! Many thanks to Teddy Bear and Friends magazine and those who selected my bear and bunny for the awards!!

Forward to Spring!

Two fur orders arrived today. I had Spring hues in mind when I placed the orders. Both are from Etsy shops - the lavenders from the Ukraine and the other pastels from Italy. All of these pieces are viscose fur - so lovely and soft!

We are still escaping extreme winter weather here in southern Virginia and green rye grass planted for the season as well as wildlife are in abundance.

This sweet woodpecker looks for lunch in a holly tree just outside a dinning room 

window.

When I came in from photographing the new fur a beam of light from a treasured Christmas gift caught my eye. This stunning crystal bell sits in a cabinet right next to another window and sunlight shines through beautiful crystal casting rainbows to enjoy!

Can't wait to see the little bears and bunnies I'll find in all that beautiful fur!

The new little chap has passed Rocky's inspection!

When weather permits (when it warms up!) I'll take some photos outside so that I can present him to the world in the Etsy shop!! This wonderful Tissavel fabric which he's made from is so soft!
